LO-TOW®: In-Floor Towline Conveyor Benefits

Compare the towline application to any Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) and the benefits become clear. From initial installation to the price of each vehicle, towline costs a fraction of AGV and easily outperforms and outlasts AGV. Need more throughput, simply add more carts - from pallet jacks to other offline equipment, many existing material handling devices can be used on a towline system.

Conveyor Benefits at a glance:

  • Transport up to 70,000 lbs.
  • Best value capital investment
  • Easy integration with off-line automation
  • Maximize throughput
  • Easy to operate and maintain
  • High productivity and lower worker fatigue
  • Progressive assembly options to match process requirements
  • Decreased manpower requirements

Towline systems are flexible, accommodating a mix of product assembly or distribution operations. Non-synchronous, variable speed conveyor sections provide both “creeping and index-and-dwell” operational modes. With a smaller footprint and better accessibility than most comparable applications, towline systems deliver improved functionality and better long-term ROI than other systems on the market. This makes SI’s assembly conveyor systems simply the ideal solution for many situations particularly for "Vehicle Assembly" and "Sub Assembly."
