CARTRAC® has many advantages
for appliance and general manufacturing requirements. It can travel from a very slow speed to very high travel speeds up to 500 FPM .The higher travel speeds can result in a greater system throughput with more product assembled each shift. With its controlled carrier acceleration and deceleration heavier and unstable loads can be handled safely and indexed between works stations in minimal index times. CARTRAC carriers can be positioned + or - 1/16" at automatic or manual work stations for ease of assembly operations. If a more accurate interface is required the carriers can be positioned + or - .005" in three planes for robotic or other required interfaces. With its non-synchronous travel capabilities the CARTRAC carriers can be independently routed within the assembly system and travel at flexible speeds for multiple delivery zone requirements. Its modular construction makes system expansions and reconfigurations easy to accomplish and offer shorter installation times. CARTRAC’s’ simple design and rugged construction operates in a wide range of operating conditions for extended years of operating service with minimal maintenance requirements.

During the assembly process the CARTRAC system can be configured to allow flexible work station times by allowing the operator to work within his set station assembly time and an addition station time if required before his assembly process affects upstream or downstream production. This can be accomplished easily with CARTRAC’s’ high speed index time and zero pressure accumulation. At each work station has a product carrier that is assembled with an accumulated upstream carrier and an empty carrier space after each work station .This configuration will give it a two station cycle time to work within before he slows or stops the upstream or downstream assembly station. This flexibility allows him time to adjust his assembly process to account for missing parts, defective parts, change over, and other assembly problems that may happen at his station.
